Installation Guide

When you receive your stickers you will notice they are in a sandwich style.
The front layer is application tape, middle layer being the sticker/vinyl and the back layer is a waxed paper. Get the sticker out of the container, place on a hard surface & run the squeegee or the hard pieces of plastic across the top of the product one piece at a time. What this does is help the graphics stick to the application paper so when you start peeling the backing off the sticker will peel off onto the application paper. Tools Required for the application
Ruler or tape measure - water based pencil - masking tape - min two rags - water bottle with water or water bottle with detergent.Detergent is needed in the water so that the sticker does not stick to the surface straight away but will let it slide around a bit - squeegee or hard plastic like a credit card

STEP 1
To apply your stickers first clean the surface thoroughly. It is a good idea to clean the surface with metho, especially if you have recently applied polish to the surface or recently painted it.

STEP 2
Please measure where you would like the sticker on your surface (maybe tape it on with some masking tape) stand back (if you could)and look to see if it is in the right place. When it is in the right place mark the surface with a water based pencil (if you don’t have a water based pencil use a lead pencil but don’t mark too hard remember you will have to remove the mark when you finish)

STEP3
Decide which method you are going to take to apply your sticker (dry or wet application)

WET APPLICATION
To make it easier to apply the stickers I recommend that you apply a little bit of water to the surface. This is best done with a spray bottle (500mm) with two or three drops of detergent in the water. 1 cup of water and two drops of detergent is fine. Spray the surface with a mist of the mixture. Doing this makes it easier to position the sticker as it stops the sticker sticking immediately to anything it touches. It will also give you a better finish as you will be able to remove air bubbles. I like to turn the sticker upside down peeling the waxed paper away from the application tape and sticker making sure that all parts of the sticker remain on the application tape.
I would spray a little on the sticker & a little on the surface that the sticker is going onto (I spray a little on the sticker so that if the wind picks up lifting one end flipping it onto the sticker surface you can separate them with ease)
Place the sticker into position then start from the middle working to the outer edge trying to flatten the sticker without creases. When this is done, I would spray a mist onto the application paper (the application paper will absorb the liquid within 30 seconds) thus making the second squeegee run a little bit easer assisting in removing air bubbles. When removing the application paper If the sticker stays on the application tape instead of staying on the surface this means it is not yet dry enough. If the sticker does lift, just push it back down with the squeegee. If it is dry enough just slowly remove the application tape, keeping it close to the surface so the application tape is folding back on itself.
P.S Depending on the heat of the day (& the amount of detergent added into the water) sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes before you can successfully remove the application paper leaving the sticker on your surface as intended. A hair dryer will speed up this process.
P.S If you have bubbles, dont worry, use a needle & prick the bubble then use the squeegee to push the bubble down.
(Hint 1) If the surface is too hot, the mixture that you spray will disappear very quickly thus ending up with no liquid between the sticker & the surface. Because of this you won’t be able to move the sticker as you sometimes need to Don't do this in the rain.
(Hint 2) If the surface is too cold it will take more time for the spray mixture to evaporate thus you will need to wait longer before peeling the application paper off. If the sticker stays on the application tape instead of staying on the surface this means it is not yet dry enough.
(Hint 3) Applying Stickers To Non Flat Surfaces
If you are applying the sticker to a non flat surface you should (using masking tape) tape the sticker into position then tape along the top of the sticker, all the way. Then cut the sticker into strips (from top to bottom) Then gradually work the sticker letter by letter from the top down, making sure the sticker makes contact with the entire surface, working it in and over each groove. If you have a gap in between the sticker and the surface it can trap dirt and grime and could result in the sticker Failing.
